The course was first offered by Allama Iqbal Open University in 1998. The course was first offered in the spring session of the same year. PHD will start from 1st February and in order to get admission in this course the applicant or candidate should at least have a 2nd division in MA./M.Phil degree. The selection process is a bit complicated as the interview has to be approved by BASR and the total duration of the course is 5 years. The course is going to include workshop and viva. The fee for the registration is 200 rupees and the fee for half credit course is Rs 6470.
